Start Time: 4:00 PM End Time: 6:00 PM This five-part class will introduce computer users to Microsoft PowerPoint 2003, a popular software program used for giving dynamic presentations. Attendees will build competencies from the ground up as we explore the very basics of PowerPoint and then progress to discuss some of the more advanced features of the software. Attendees should be comfortable using a mouse and keyboard, and should also be familiar with the basics of Microsoft Word.Part One: The Basics - This class will cover creation of a basic PowerPoint slide show, working with bulleted and numbered lists, and the use and selection of design templates.Part Two: Animation & Clip Art - This class will cover adding headers & footers to slides, inserting images & clip art, and the inclusion of animation schemes.Part Three: Customizing Templates & Slide Transitions - This class will cover customizing a slide with your own images or a pattern, customizing bulleted lists, and configuring various slide transitions.Part Four: Inserting Graphs, Tables, & Custom Flowcharts - This class will cover inserting charts and tables into slides, creating custom flowcharts, and copying your flowcharts into a Word document and/or Excel workbook.Part Five: Beyond Bullet Points - This class will cover creating a "story", finessing your "storyboard", balancing the amount of information on the slide with the amount of information presented orally, and creating a slide show that encourages audience engagement.
